Carolina Herrera’s popular 212 perfume range began in 1997 when the first scent “212 perfume” was released, although this was not her first venture into fragrances with her own signature scent being released over a decade before in 1988. The 212 range has been incredibly popular and there have been many releases in this range over the years, from 212 sexy to 212 splash. Below is a brief description of all of the 212 fragrances.
212 Perfume for Women by Carolina Herrera
First launched in 1997 212 perfume is a gentle floral perfume that is feminine without being overly flowery, with notes of jasmine, lily of the valley and gardenia its a subtle blend that has been a favorite for women for over ten years.
212 Sexy Men (2006)
This is a warm scent for men with notes of mandarin and guaiac wood with spicy cardamom and vanilla to give it a little oriental flavor. 212 Sexy Men is a masculine scent that is both fresh and warm and most suitable for evening wear.
212 Splash Perfume (2007 and 2008)
212 Splash was released as a two set for men and for women and was a limited edition summer perfume release. Both scents were made as upbeat energizing scents inspired by the fast pace of New York City. 212 Splash for women is a bright blend of peony, rose, sandalwood and grapefruit and 212 Men Splash is a fresh blend of nutmeg, mint, bergamot and sandalwood.
In 2008 Carolina Herrera released lighter versions of her limited editions from the previous year, the 2008 212 Splash scents are slightly lighter versions and both releases are packaged in the soda can style packaging.
212 On Ice (2009)
In 2009 Carolina Herrara released more limited edition summer fragrances in the form of 212 On Ice. Both the women’s and the men’s scents are versions of the original 212 perfume as was 212 Splash. The On Ice fragrances are reminiscent of early crisp bright mornings and are light, bright and fresh perfumes that warm up just enough as the early morning gives way to the warm heat of a summer day.
212 Ice 2010
Another summer limited edition perfume from Carolina Herrera, 212 Ice “2010 perfume is available for both men and women and is again a variation of the successful 212 perfume line. 212 Men Ice 2010 is a masculine scent that is warm and woody and 212 Ice 2010 for women is a feminine fragrance that is quite delicate and floral and overall quite a sensual perfume.
212 VIP
The newest so far of the 212 range, VIP perfume for women is a vibrant and young scent with notes of musk, vanilla, tonka bean and rum, said to be inspired by the creative young people of New York its an interesting scent, the bottle is a bit over the top but overall its a nice fragrance if a bit young for my liking.
