This is a selection of some of the perfumes and fragrances that are available for kids this Christmas. Your kids might just be at that age when they are maturing and drifting away from kiddie presents and want some more serious presents instead. A combination of toys and gifts they love, with a token bottle of fragrance will do wonders for the mood of Christmas. It will keep them young whilst still acknowledging that they are growing up too. Kids grow up so fast now that long before their teenage years they are beginning to mature. This type of gift is the in between or coming of age present that kids will eventually turn too, even if their parents would wish them to stay children for a few more years. I will start with a boy’s one.

SPIDERMAN for Boys Eau de Toilette Spray

This is a Spider Man EDT Spray by Marvel for kids and comes in a 3.4 ounces container. Boys and their super heroes will never be too far apart and if you want to introduce a nice fragrance to your son then this is sure to be of appeal. I should hasten to add that most of these kids perfumes are not very expensive. Most of the kids products range in price fro $10 to $25.

As well as Spidey, marvel have several other super heroes in fragrance form that might interest the boys and just might be their favorite super hero. They are ‘Hulk’ and ‘Captain America’ Eau de Toilette Sprays. I do suspect that all three scents are similar in fragrance and the choice is just about the kids favorite superhero.

Hannah Montana Secret Star Perfume for girls

A fragrance by Disney for the opposite sex now. For a young daughter on the verge of becoming a woman this Hannah Montana Perfume is sure to please. It is classed as a ladies perfume but is still childish enough to appeal to young gilds coming of age. It is certainly packaged to attract the youth of today and a teenage girl or even some pre teenagers will find this scent to their liking.

You will also find a whole plethora of Hannah Montana beauty products such as lip gloss and talc from the Disney range. Disney also have a similar Hannah product for girls in the shape of a Snow White 3.4 oz. Eau de Toilette Spray for girls and a similar Sleeping Beauty version.

Very cheap Perfume fragrance for boys

The is a cheap perfume specially for boys and recommended for when travelling. It is called Little Champ, which is a Fragrance for Boys. This kids fragrance is very reasonable at less than $10 and would make a nice gift for a younger brother or nephew.

These are just a taste of the several perfumes and fragrances that are out there for the youth of society. There was a time when children knew next to nothing about perfume but we are in a new century now and a very enlightened age where children come of age much quicker. I do buy my nieces and nephews gifts of perfumes (which is what they want) but always with a tinge of sadness on my part because I would rather they were still interested in Lego, Monopoly, dolls or action figures. Such is life!

When you cannot decide on a perfume why not try several scents in small amounts for the price of one perfume. In this way you will not be left with a huge bottle of perfume that you do not like or want. This is my listing of the best fragrances for men in 2011. Some are new perfumes and others are the old ‘reliable scents’. I have tested over 50 different scents for men and many of my men friends have help me with selecting the best 5 fragrances or perfume combinations. My sampling group consisted of non-experts in perfumery but many people will find the results to be aesthetically pleasing.

Sexiest perfume for men

I used criteria other than the scent itself and I was influenced by the price too. A good perfume that is priced beyond the normal person’ spending power on fragrances will be of little use regardless of how much I enthuse about it. So, my list tries to hover around prices that range between $25 and $60.

Vintage Black

Best fragrances for 2011 Men

This is the best choice in my opinion.

Vintage Black – Kenneth Cole

If you love citrus scents then you will love this masculine Kenneth Cole cologne. Black Vintage has a nice assembly of greens, peppers, limes, lavender and grapefruit. The scent then changes to a husky, musky manly scent featuring the woody oak with sandalwood. VB is reasonably priced for such a good new scent.

Acqua Di Gio – Giorgio Armani

Although this is at the upper end of my range it is an extremely good and popular fragrance for the money. Recommended for casual use this scent is breezy, clean and woody but with subtle marine notes. Even the bottle looks masculine with little by way of adornment.

Hot Water Cologne – Zino Davidoff

In the middle of the price range this is consider a perfume for evening wear and is an attractive, magnetic like scent in its startlingly red bottle. Almost reminds me of hell but a hell of a good fragrance nonetheless.

Cool Water – Davidoff

If I thought that Hot Water was good (and hellish) then what can I make of its opposite Cool Water which is slightly cheaper in price but is twice the perfume. Cool Water is also by Davidoff. If Hot was Hell then this is surely heaven scent (excuse the pun). Although not a ‘new’ perfume, Davidoff Cool Water is popular with younger men, even teenagers. If worn at school it can last all day.

Grey Vetiver – Tom Ford

Grey Vetiver is expensive but that withstanding it is a beautiful scent, if beautiful counts in the masculine world. One of the best colognes of this year. There is a subtle, nutty citrus like scent from this fragrance that sets it at the top of the men’s fragrance range. The price, however, might be off-putting for some.

The person who knows about perfume is called a Nez. The French word Nez means nose but the proper term for a perfume expert is to be defined as ’The Perfumer’. Every factory or parfumerie has its own perfumer overseeing production of the various aromas produced. The job of the perfumer requires great skill as well as some knowledge of chemistry. The perfumer will have a very keen sense of smell and will be an expert in the process or composition involved in creating new smells.

Designing perfume

The perfume company will decide that they need a new brand of perfume to launch onto the market. This may happen as a result of a customer request or may be brought about to satisfy a particular market niche. The composition must begin with the perfumer who will begin by blending fragrances and perfumes until the formulation meets the criteria specified by the company or the customer. The criteria can be anything from a Christmas scent (usually pine blend) to an after bath fragrance (almond blend, perhaps) but the process could take a considerable time before the product goes into full production.

Basic Technique for Perfume making

As perfume oils can contain hundreds of ingredients this is a synopsis of the main constituents. An anti-oxidant is important as it preserves the product and ensures a very long shelf life (as is the norm with true perfumes). Color additives are important for marketing the perfume because it obviously has to look right as well as smell delicious. The primary scents have to be decided upon as for example the two (pine and almond) mentioned in the previous paragraph.

Rose (floral) is a very common primary scent but other are ‘fruity’ and ‘woody’ by definition or perhaps the more obscure ‘citrus’ and ‘fresh’ fragrance. When a primary scent is newly developed and is deemed to be outside the norm it is referred to as an abstract scent.

Blenders are required to bulk up the primary product. They are often the major component of the primary fragrance but they are neutral and will never detract from the primary scent. Blenders are often referred to as bases.

Perfumer’s Art

Another main component is the glue in the perfume which keeps all the ingredients bound together, this glue is called the fixative. They can be natural products and may be scents in themselves. Common fixatives are amber and a number of different wood resins.

It is the perfumer’s job to mix and match these ingredients until the fragrance is the one desired or requested. A top perfumer can build a perfume from scratch but nowadays they use fragrance bases to speed up the work.

Perfume lasts forever provided it is not exposed to air. Perfume bottles are usually in a glass form with an airtight stopper so in theory, if it is not used, it will keep perfectly well in the bottle forever (and it must be kept free from heat and light too). This is one of the reasons that you will never see an expiration date or a ‘use by’ date on perfume and cologne products. If you do see a ‘best before’ date on perfume it is either defective product or a manufacturer’s scam to get you to replenish the product earlier than necessary. Legally, it can be a requirement for a manufacturer to provide a best before date but with perfume products this date should be several years in the future.

Perfume times factor

Poor quality perfume can suffer from chemical reactions and oxidization which will not, in itself, reduce the volume of perfume in a bottle but will reduce the perfume’s potency or fragrance. However, the aroma of a quality perfume will remain constant provided you look after the product in a normal way. This means that you do not leave your perfume bottle is the baking sun or floating around a swimming pool. Just store your perfume in a cool place that is dry and out of direct sunlight. Keep the bottle stoppered correctly. A wine cooler is sometimes used as an ideal storage location for the most expensive perfumes. A bathroom would be a bad spot to leave perfume due to the damp and humidity.

Why does some perfume last longer

The perfume essential oil contains no fat and is mixed with an alcohol base which preserves the scent. Provided that you do not leave the stopper off for long periods the parfum or cologne will remain in perfect condition. The alcohol does evaporate if the product is left unattended with the stopper removed. It would be a shame to ruin an expensive perfume in this manner.

Bad perfume smells

You will know immediately if your perfume has gone bad. Discoloration might be visible but the sure sign will be the pungent aroma when you smell the perfume. Perfume that has been exposed to air, heat or light will suffer in some way but it is easy to prevent the three factors from having an impact. Look after your perfume and you will not suffer any loss. When it does occur, however, look upon it as an opportunity to try out a new fragrance.

Almost everyone has heard of the Kardashian sisters and Kim is possibly one of the most popular of the girl, her first signature perfume release “Kim Kardashian Perfume” was released in February 2010 in the US and is described as a sultry fragrance with notes of white soft jasmine, gardenia and tuberose among others.

I am not personally a fan of the Kardashians and I only really tried this scent because it was receiving a lot of praise but I will admit that I found the fragrance not to be disliked, for me it will never stand up against some of my favorites but it does have a general appeal and I can see why its popular and it is relatively inexpensive. It’s pretty much a sweet white floral and there are plenty of other fragrances available that will have a similar scent. It’s floral and sweet but a little too strong for my personal tastes. I have heard varied reports about the lasting power but it seems to be average enough for a mid range perfume. The woody dry down keeps it from being sickeningly sweet.

Kim’s second perfume “Kim Kardashian Gold perfume” has also been released and has been described as an iconic summer fragrance, that “transends ordinary”. Im not sure if it could be described as “iconic” or a “timeless piece” but the opening does remind of hot summer days, there is a definate floral center and a slightly musky base with a touch of sandalwood. Im not sure it will be as popular as her first release but personally I prefer Kim Kardashian Gold.

Samsara perfume is a creation of Guerlain in Paris and was first released in 1989. It is another timeless scent similar to the family of fragrances from which it hales, such as Shalimar released in 1925 by the house of Guerlain. The feminine scent of Samsara is making its own timeless stamp in the world of fragrance.
The woody oriental fragrance is refined and has hints of iris, jasmine, violets, sandalwood, vanilla, rose and amber. The main notes are jasmine and sandalwood. Whenever you think of Giorgio Armani, the first thing that pops into your mind is elegance. His sophisticated designs have been worn by most of the worldwide known celebrities, that much that now, as we see stars walking on the red carpet wearing a stylish and beautifully cut dress, we`re not surprised to find out that they`re wearing an Armani.
It all began with the passion and dedication of a young Italian man born in Piacenza, Italy, in 1934. Armani started his career as a simple tailor, but soon enough he became famous and founded the Armani Fashion House in 1975.

In February of 2011, Rihanna stood before photographers and customers at a Macy’s in Lakewood, CA, ready to introduce Reb’l Fleur Perfume. Asked by reporters, why she had created the new scent, she told them that its creation helped to underscore her passion for individuality. Indeed, any woman who buys and wears this new Rihanna perfume can feel more expressive and empowered.
At the same time, that sweet-smelling female should feel at ease about being feminine. She should have no trouble expressing her emotions. She may well display by her wonderfully scented words and actions a certain element of intrigue.

It is supposed to have been inspired by Napoleon’s power, strength and vision. It contains the essence of extracts from black currant, bergamot and pineapple, along with a hint of Louisiana birch and a touch of oakmoss.
In such a novel, the reader could expect to find passages in which the heroine’s expressive individuality fired the anger in a man who aspired to be a vision of strength. Such a book might become a best seller. It might be as popular as this new perfume.
