Hugo Boss Perfume

The company that makes Hugo Boss perfume today was created by Hugo Ferdinand Boss in 1923 in a small town south of Stuttgart, called Metzingen, where it is still to this day based. Metzingen, was also where he was born on July 8^th 1985. This first Hugo Boss Company, however, went into bankruptcy in 1930, due to economic circumstances of that period. Hugo Boss was not deterred by this and went on to set up a new company in 1931, supplying work clothes and uniforms. Hugo also became a member of the Nazi Party at this time and with the rise of Hitler, he also saw a rise in demand for his product and then went on to become official supplier to the SA and the SS.

After the fall of the Nazis and Germany in 1945, Hugo Boss was charged with being a Nazi sympathiser, losing his right to vote as well as being given a substantial fine. Hugo Ferdinand Boss died shortly after on August 9,1948 at the age of 63.

After Hugo Ferdinand Boss died in 1948, the company was taken over by his son-in-law Eugen Holy and later to his grandsons Jochen and Uwe Holy in the 1960’s.

Exactly 70 years after Hugo Ferdinand Boss first founded his company; Hugo Boss Company launched its first fragrance. This successful launch formed a new division of the company that has become a very important part of Hugo Boss.

Boss Bottled- in Boss Bottled for men, we find a very fresh and fruity top note of apple and citrus that perfectly fits in with the warm, spicy and flowery middle note that features geranium, cinnamon and a dab of clove. The base note is a very masculine one of vetiver, cedarwood and sandalwood.

Boss Selection- Boss Selection for men, has a top note of fresh citrus with grapefruit and mandarin, as well as pink peppercorn.

The middle note is of geranium, cedar leaf with star anise and petit grain. The Base note is decidedly masculine with vetiver, cedar wood, patchouli and musky accord.

Boss Pure- Boss Pure for men, launched in April 2008, features Mediterranean citrus, fig water with a middle note of hyacinth and lily. Its base notes are of Massoia wood.

Boss Soul- Boss Soul for men, is a fragrance of an oriental and spicy nature. It has top notes of bergamot, anise, mandarin orange and pepper. Its middle notes feature cinnamon, lavender, coriander and nutmeg. Its base notes are amber, musk, vetiver and vanilla.

Boss Femme- Boss Femme is a casual, cheerful and romantic fragrance for women. It has top notes of blackcurrant, tangerine and freesia. Its heart consists of lily, rose and Madagascar jasmine. Its base is comprised of lemon tree and apricot skin.

Hugo Deep Red- Hugo Deep Red for women has an edgy and seductive feel to it. It has top notes of pear, blackcurrant, blood orange and tangerine. Its middle is comprised of freesia, ginger leaves and hibiscus. Its base note is of musk, vanilla, sandalwood and Californian cedar.

Boss Intense- Boss Intense for women is a pleasant and sexy fragrance. Its first notes consist of a dash of spice, kumquat and oxygen accord. Its middle notes feature jasmine, vanilla and rose. Its base notes are musk, sandalwood, patchouli and amber notes.
