Although the name Cartier is most commonly associated with jewelry and watch making the Cartier Perfume range is a well-established designer perfume company that has been in existence since the 1980’s.  Initially established to compliment the world-renowned jewelry, the fragrances took off and are now hugely popular in their own rights.

The first Cartier perfume launched was titled “Santos de Cartier” and was the first men’s fragrance designed by the Maison de Cartier. 1981 saw the launch of the first ladies perfume in the range, titled “ Must de Cartier perfume”, this fragrance was designed by Jean Jacques Diener for Cartier.

The range has become well known for it’s luxurious and elegant scents and the combinations of essences used make these perfumes some of the most desirable fragrances available today. Although the perfume range has seen widespread success it has become known as a mature range of fragrances and while the most recent perfumes released (such as 2008’s Roadster for men) were hoping to target a younger consumer base, Cartier perfume remains a mature and sophisticated perfume and cologne brand that appeals mostly to professional men and women.

1981 – Santos de Cartier – this men’s fragrance is a strong blend of Lavender, Lemon Bergamot, Rosemary, Geranium and Nutmeg as well as Sandalwood, Patchouli, Amber, and Vanilla to name but a few.  This is an extremely strong blend of perfume for men that would be most suited to the mature gentleman.

1981 – Musk de Cartier – this ladies perfume is an exotic, sensual blend of Brazilian Rosewood and Lemon, Yellow Narcissus, Rose, Ylang-Ylang, Neroli and Sandalwood among others.  This scent is an elegant, evening perfume for special occasion or formal wear.

1987 – Panthere de Cartier perfume – this scent was designed by Alberto Morillas and is a casual, everyday perfume for women.  A delicate flowery scent with a hint of fruit and warm spices makes Panthere de Cartier a top choice for younger women.

2000 – Must de Cartier Pour Homme

2003 – Le Baiser du Dragon Perfume – Designed by Alberto Morillas, this ladies perfume can be slightlyoverwhelming, a powerful scent that is long lasting.  Described as a blend of masculine essences that have been infused with a powerful feminine twist.

2006 – Delices de Cartier – this floral ladies perfume is a subtle blend of white and yellow jasmine, freesia, violet and sandalwood.  An appealing fragrance with a light fruity note that would most appeal to women aged 30 plus.

2008 – Roadster – this is the first men’s perfume to be released in the Cartier perfume range in eight years.  Designed to attract a younger consumer base with a strong, fresh and masculine scent that develops quickly.
