Delices De Cartier Eau Fruitee Perfume

Such long winded names for a perfume but this is another of the fruity range by Cartier, and make no mistake, it is quite wonderful. As a lover of fruit what could be nicer than a perfume that is scented of fruit. I was delighted to discover the Delices de Cartier range of fruity (or fruitee) fragrances. The scent is so intensely fruity that you can easily imagine that you are in a tropical paradise when you wear it. The design house of Cartier launched this brand in 2007 as a woman’s fragrance and it continues to be fashionable as the years go by.

The Cartier bottle factor

I was wowed over, initially, by the beautiful perfume bottle in the shape of a fruit, a cherry, in this case. The small red tinged flacon immediately suggests warmth and girly fun and I couldn’t wait to try it. The tiny circular bottle is so tactile too, with embossed petals for gripping, that I didn’t want to leave it out of my hand. Cartier designed bottles are to die for and I love to collect them, as well as enjoying the fragrance of Cartier. There is a growing interest among collectors of flacons for unique designer bottles such as Cartier produce.

The Delices note factor

The top notes are a fruity floral mix between the jasmine and cherry blossom. The base itself is of amber and sandalwood and the remainder (middle notes) of the perfume has hints of Mandarin and Bergamot and even a touch of Rhubarb, which I never considered to be particularly pungent. The cherry blossom smell is what wins me over and enthralls and energizes me.

When to wear Delices De Cartier Eau Fruitee Perfume

I wear Delices De Cartier usually in the evening despite it being recommended for daytime use. My opinion is that a good perfume can be worn anytime, especially if it makes you feel so good. I pay scant attention to the ‘when to wear’ brigade.

Cartier is a trusted jewelry designer with over 150 years experience but is now fast approaching 30 years in the business of developing luxurious designer perfumes. Initially Cartier perfume was established simply to embellish Cartier’s world-renowned jewelry products but the fragrances are now extremely popular in their own right and represent serious competition for longer established parfumeries. Even if you cannot afford an expensive Cartier watch you might still experience the Cartier brand through Delices de Cartier perfume.

The price can be as low as $15 or as high as $150 so do make sure to check the different vial or bottle sizes before you purchase, so as to ensure you get the best value for your money. Look out for the classy cherry-shaped glass bottle too when you make your purchase as these bottles will be collector items in years to come.

Collect perfume bottles

One of the great hobbies to have is to collect perfume bottles. If you love perfume, as I do, then what better way to combine your love of fragrances with collecting beautiful miniature stylish bottles? The perfumeries know that marketing a new fragrance is very important. If, for instance, a perfume maker developed the world’s best scent and then decided to cut costs on the packaging by using a common scent bottle without any particular features then the world would never experience this ‘perfect’ perfume. Why? You might ask and the answer is a simple one as no one will buy a perfume that is not up to an acceptable standard where the packaging is concerned.

Classic perfume bottles to collect

Two great examples of perfume bottles that are well thought out and suit their perfume product ideally are Delices De Cartier Eau Fruitee Perfume and Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male scent. I will confess to owning more that one of each of these bottles.

My favorite Cartier bottle

The Delices De Cartier bottle is a replica of a piece of fruit, exquisitely shaped and colored. It is tactile too and the bottle just asks to be purchased. The second bottle I mention is the JPG bottle Le Male which is the upper torso of the male form albeit in Adonis like stature. It is is a very macho looking bottle with its blue tinges further emphasizing the maleness of the product. The matching Jean Paul Gaultier Classique X perfume bottle for women features the upper, very feminine, torso of a lady in pink hue and is a very collectible bottle.

Exciting perfume bottles

As a collector of perfume miniatures I am always on the lookout for new and exciting products. Even within one range of perfume you will be able to collect 3 or 4 identically styled bottles in their various sale sizes. The great thing about collecting parfum bottles is that you get to experience many wonderful products too. I have to confess that I have often bought a perfume I hate because I wanted a particular bottle for my collection. It is true that poor perfume will sell well if it is packaged particularly well but it is unlikely to stand the test of time and become a timeless variety like Chanel No.5 bottle and scent.

Great glass bottles

JPG and Cartier perfume are just two parfum manufacturers that not only make great perfume products, Eau De Toilette, Eau De Parfum Spray and so on, but they do so by ensuring that the packaging matches the perfume in all its glory and this is what makes great perfume manufacturers great and relegates the rest to the back waters of the parfumerie industry. When it all comes together, great perfume and exquisite glass bottle, then I am doubly pleased.
