What are the best perfume brands to look out for when it comes to designer perfume? Perfumes that last the test of time are the true winners in the perfume excellence stakes. The following are my choice of special designer fragrances that I am sure you will enjoy as much as I do. They are not in any significant order but all are excellent smelling and beautifully aromatic scents. Designer perfume was once for the rich and famous only, but now is available at such a reasonable price that many people can enjoy the delights of quality designer brands.
Designer Perfume for women
Despite the name my first choice is Hypnotic Poison by Dior. This scent is for the elegant women and exudes chic. Hypnotic, although not one the latest versions of Dior’s Poison range, has withstood the test of time and is suggestive of romance. Hypnotic Poison for women was launched in1998. Fragrance notes give a beautiful and strong scent of jasmine, accompanied by the deeper base tones of amber, almond and woods. This certainly brings out the romantic side of people and the attraction will last for 8 to 10 hours.
My second choice for women (young women and teenagers in particular) is simply called Nina. Nina is by Nina Ricci and was re-launched in 2006 having previously entered the market in 1987. Nina is a fruity floral fragrance which is good enough to eat and this gourmand scent is recommended for casual wear and will last for over 8 hours. Nina by Nina is an excellent choice for any young lady.
Designer Perfume for men
My choice for men is from the Valentino range and is called V Pour Homme. I just love the jasmine muskiness of V Pour Homme alongside the hint of bergamot and vanilla in the notes to temper the masculinity and prevent it from being too macho. V Pour Homme is relatively new as it was launched in 2006 but it has quickly established itself among the etchelons of designer fragrances. Its scent lingers subtly for at least 9 hours.
My second choice although meant for men has been known to be worn by women too. It is Acqua Di Gio by Giorgio Armani for men (but also for women). The aqua signifies water, naturally, but also freedom as in the natural elements of sun, wind, sea and water. This signature perfume has permanence about it and can be sensed for up to ten hours after the initial application. Acqua Di Gio was created over 15 years ago.
